Etax Accountants Pty Ltd is a registered tax agent authorised to lodge tax returns electronically to the Australian Tax Office. Unlike many popular tax agents, we are also a fully-accredited accounting firm qualified to give high-level tax advice.
Our senior accounting staff and management includes CPA- and CA-qualified accountants who directly manage the accounting team and who also review or check individual tax returns entered by clients on Etax.com.au. The high level of training and experience held by many of our senior accountants places our team at the forefront of personal tax accounting in Australia.
Also working at the front of their field is our IT team. Maintaining an online system with so many users, while also upgrading and improving the system every year, is no small feat!

Don brings over 30 years of industry experience in tax, finance and business management. As CEO of Australia’s largest online tax return company, Etax Accountants, he brings extensive expertise in the efficient use of online systems to deliver quality services to clients.
Don commenced practice in 1978 in Brisbane and developed a branch network of accounting offices from Cairns to Charleville. A Certified Management Consultant, Don served as Chairman of the Queensland Government Consultants Advisory Committee for three years.
He is committed to community service and received the Prime Minister’s Sport Recognition Award for his role as the founder of the Lest We Forget Runs developed across Australia.

Scott brings over a decade of experience in management consulting, finance, tax and IT. At the age of 18, he developed and co-founded one of Australia’s leading online tax return firms, Etax Accountants. He is also the founder of Red Heart Ride (an adventure tourism company), Abarcus (dynamic pricing software) and CEO of Accounts Etcetera which is one of Brisbane’s largest bookkeeping firms.
Scott brings international experience and know-how as a result of his employment with the Boston Consulting Group, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Balkanu Cape York Development Corporation which supports the economic development of Aboriginal people in Cape York.
His academic achievements include the Bill Clendenin Memorial Award Scholarship to Harvard University and the Macquarie Bank Graduate Management Scholarship. Scott is also devoted to non-profit causes including Australia’s leading vocal ensemble The Australian Voices and Australian National Choral Association.

Kent Griffin is a co-founder and Director of Etax Accountants, having developed the original software that the Etax Accountants system is based on today. He is responsible for technology in the firm and is always on the lookout for the latest emerging technologies, ensuring Etax Accountants remains at the forefront of IT in the accounting industry.
Kent brings over 11 years of experience in Information Technology management, holding various leadership positions during this time including work for the IT advisory division at KPMG.
Under Kent's direction Etax Accountants has led the online tax industry in Australia, being early adopters in PKI digital signature technology to build consumer trust in the Internet and, more recently, leaders in in the latest SSL online security, Web 2.0 and cloud computing technologies.
