This week at Etax we’ve been very excited about the release of our new 2014 tax return. It includes a lot of hidden, technical wizardry that makes the tax return more transparent and easier for Australians. Ten high-skilled software developers have worked hard for a year to build it and we’re proud that an independent company like ours can provide better technology to taxpayers (in our opinion) than the ATO itself.
So we sent the Tax Tips newsletter by email to our clients and contacts, announcing the new tax return and it’s new features.
Here’s the embarrassing part:
Our email went out to almost half of our contacts with this opening line:
[box type=”note” icon=”none”] Okay, we do know people like to be addressed by their names![/box]
A little human error sending our email caused the problem and we’re so embarrassed.
Out of respect for people’s in-boxes we haven’t sent another email to apologise, but we do hope people see this post.
