The Etax Blog: Tax Tips for Australians

Etax for Mac and iPad Users

Over the past few weeks we’ve had many clients tell us etax for machow much they love being able to use the Etax online tax return on their Apple devices. In particular, there are more and more people using iPad tablets for personal online use.

What’s special about etax.com.au for Mac users?

Well, since 2006 the ATO have promised a Mac friendly electronic tax return, but even now 6 years later there is still no Mac-compatible option available from the ATO.

If you are a Mac user, you can’t use the ATO’s E-tax software to complete your taxes unless you install a complicated Windows emulator program – and then download ATO software to your hard drive.

On the other hand, the Etax.com.au online tax return is accessible from any Internet-connected device, including Macbooks, iPads and iPhones!

How can I get started?

If you’ve got a Mac, don’t worry about the tedious paper based tax pack or visiting an accountant’s office, simply register online at Etax.com.au and you could be finished your return in just 15 minutes.

As well as having convenient online access and a simple, fast tax return form, at Etax.com.au there are a list of advantages:

  • Confidence of knowing your return was lodged by a Registered Tax Agent and CPA Accounting Practice
  • Free online or phone assistance as well as access to exclusive tax saving tools such as the Etax Knowledge Base and Deduction Finder
  • Your tax return will be checked twice by qualified accountants before it is lodged, to ensure it is correct and to maximise your refund.

To get started, simply head over to our registration page and you could finish your tax return in just 15 minutes.
